In their 10 years of hard work, Mobile Baykeeper, formerly Mobile Baywatch, has grown from a staff of all volunteers with no money, to a 6 person staff and annual budget of over $200,000. Not to mention their successes fighting major oil companies and getting federal laws passed requiring cumulative and secondary impact studies on major road projects!
They are also working on an air quality study for Mobile County, continuing to monitor and fight Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) Permits, and keeping sewage treatment facilities in line.
